Isak’s Hat-Trick Moment Arrives
Alexander Isak finally achieved his first Premier League hat-trick, leading Newcastle United to a commanding 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town. The Swede’s clinical treble brought his Premier League goal tally for the season to 10, solidifying his reputation as a key player for the Magpies.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Isak said. “Scoring goals gives confidence and helps the team. I’m buzzing.”
His performance not only delighted the travelling fans but also earned glowing praise from manager Eddie Howe, who called Isak a “world-class talent.”

A Long-Awaited Achievement
Isak became only the second Swedish player to score a Premier League hat-trick, following Freddie Ljungberg’s treble for Arsenal in 2003. He also joined the ranks of Newcastle’s greats, being the first player to achieve the feat since Ayoze Perez in 2019.
“It’s surprising it took him this long to get a hat-trick with his talent,” said Howe. “His first for Newcastle is a great moment, and we take pride in our players playing well.”

A Clinical Display
The match showcased Isak’s cool composure and predatory instincts. His first goal came within 26 seconds, seizing on a defensive error. A second followed, courtesy of Ipswich’s goalkeeper gifting Newcastle possession, and the hat-trick was sealed with a sharp finish at the near post.
“Alex is unique,” said Howe. “He has that coolness and composure very few have, combined with technical skill. He’s back to his best levels, and it’s showing in his goals.”

Howe’s Commitment to Keep Isak
With the January transfer window looming, speculation about Isak’s future is inevitable. However, Eddie Howe made it clear that Newcastle has no intention of letting their star striker leave.
“There’s no part of me or anyone at Newcastle that wants to let Alex go,” Howe insisted. “He’s motivated, he has big aspirations, and he’s a team player. I want him to help us win a trophy.”
While contract talks have yet to begin, Isak’s long-term deal ensures Newcastle retains control. Howe remains optimistic about Isak’s future with the club, highlighting his popularity within the squad and willingness to learn.
