Diaz Departure: Bayern Secure Liverpool Star for £65.5m
Luis Díaz is set to leave Liverpool in one of the summer’s biggest moves so far, as Bayern Munich finalise a deal worth up to €75m (£65.5m) including add-ons. After rejecting an earlier bid of £58.6m, the Reds have now agreed terms with the German champions.
The 28-year-old Colombian winger has flown from Liverpool’s pre-season tour in Asia to complete his medical in Europe. Having netted 17 goals in all competitions last season—his most prolific to date—Díaz played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign.
Statistically, Díaz stood out across the Premier League last season. His 18.3% shot conversion rate was his best yet, and his 18 goal contributions put him just outside the league's top 10. Add to that 56 chances created, 52 successful dribbles, and his relentless pressing—winning possession 22 times in the final third—and it's no surprise Bayern have swooped in.
The Bavarians, who scored 99 Bundesliga goals last term en route to their 34th title, are in need of reinforcements following Jamal Musiala's serious injury at the Club World Cup. Díaz's arrival bolsters their attacking depth as they aim to go further in Europe next season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are already planning for life after Díaz. Having signed Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, they are also pursuing Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, setting up what could be another blockbuster Premier League deal.

João Félix Joins Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Another big-name departure from Europe sees João Félix leave Chelsea to join Al-Nassr in a move worth up to £43.7m. The Portuguese forward will link up with his international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, marking yet another high-profile move to the Pro League.
Despite spending last season on loan at AC Milan, Félix’s permanent switch helps Chelsea balance the books amid UEFA’s financial fair play constraints. The Blues, who’ve already generated around £130m in player sales, are under pressure to end the summer with a positive transfer balance.
With several players still up for sale—including Raheem Sterling, Renato Veiga, and Ben Chilwell—and over £212m already spent on the likes of Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, and João Pedro, Chelsea must tread carefully. They're still eyeing Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato, but won't be able to register new players for Europe if they breach spending rules.

Arsenal Finally Land a Striker: Gyökeres Joins the Gunners
After years of searching, Arsenal have secured a long-awaited frontman in the form of Viktor Gyökeres. The Swedish international joins from Sporting CP after a sensational season where he scored 39 goals and provided 26 assists in all competitions.
Gyökeres, 27, brings not just goals but dynamism, physicality, and a tireless work ethic to the Emirates. His non-penalty conversion rate of 27.3% was one of the best in Europe, ahead of elite names like Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah.
The former Brighton and Coventry City striker is the crown jewel in a busy summer for Mikel Arteta, who has also added Martin Zubimendi, Christian Nørgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Noni Madueke, and Cristhian Mosquera to his squad. With over £210m spent, it's now or never for the Gunners to end their trophy drought.

Alexander Isak’s Future in the Balance
The next major domino to fall could be Alexander Isak. The Newcastle United striker is firmly on Liverpool’s radar and has not travelled with the Magpies to Singapore due to a thigh injury—though speculation about his future remains rife.
Isak scored 27 goals in 42 matches last season and has been one of Eddie Howe’s standout performers. But with Liverpool circling, and Newcastle having already explored replacements such as Benjamin Sesko, there could be movement soon.
Howe insists he hopes to keep the Swede, stating: “We would love him to continue his journey at Newcastle… but whatever happens has to be right for the club.”

Goalkeeper Carousel: Ramsdale, Johnstone, and More
Newcastle are also in talks with Southampton to sign Aaron Ramsdale, aiming to add competition for Nick Pope. Southampton, newly relegated, are pushing for a permanent deal having signed Ramsdale from Arsenal last summer for £18m.
Meanwhile, Burnley—after losing James Trafford back to Manchester City—are eyeing Sam Johnstone from Wolves. Elsewhere, West Ham are monitoring Michael Cooper of Sheffield United, and Bristol City have landed Radek Vitek from Manchester United on loan.

Villa, Milan, Newcastle in for Calvert-Lewin
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin now a free agent after leaving Everton, several clubs are circling. Aston Villa, AC Milan, and Newcastle are all showing interest in the 28-year-old, who will be eager to get his career back on track following an injury-hit few seasons.
Red Devils Eye Kolo Muani, Dewsbury-Hall Interest
Manchester United are targeting Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, with Juventus also interested. The Frenchman is seen as a potential solution to United’s attacking issues, especially after missing out on Benjamin Sesko.
They’re also in a battle with Fulham for Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who remains available for the right price.
